Abstract

For two hermitian matrices $A$ and $B$, Golden-Thompson inequality golden1965lower, thompson1965inequality states that $$\mathrm{tr}\left[ \exp{(A+B)} \right] \leq \mathrm{tr}\left[ \exp{(A)}\exp{(B)} \right].$$
